What is ROAR Membership?
Over 220 artists and organisations in the greater region of Rotherham are currently members of our organisation, and we support them in many ways. Through our membership process, we aim to learn more about you and your goals so that we can better serve you. Our goal is to empower you develop the abilities you need to succeed in your creative endeavours.
Collaborative teamwork is encouraged to help you think beyond the box. We can assist you with the development of ideas and plans, the application of funding, the organisation of exhibitions, the creation of presentations, the development of technical skills, and the enhancement of marketing and promotion.

Regular Activities at ROAR
Monday, 6pm - 8pm: Drop-In Ceramics
-Location: Clayspace @ ROAR Artspace, Westgate Chambers, Westgate, Rotherham, S60 1AN
-£10 per session (pay on arrival)
-No experience required – open to all skill levels
-Clay and kiln use not included in session price (Additional charges may apply depending on the materials and firing required for your project)
-Expect a relaxed, creative environment where you can explore pottery at your own pace
-No booking required – just drop in
-Let me know if you want this tailored for different days or updated for a recurring format.
Thursday, 6pm - 8pm: Drop-In Art

-Free (unless otherwise stated for special sessions)
-Bring your own art materials, writing tools, or any supplies needed for your current creative project - this is not just a visual art session, all art forms are welcome! We just ask that you bring your creativity and something to work on in the space.
-Expect a relaxed, supportive space to work alongside others
-No structured activity—just time and space to focus on your own creative practice
-No booking required – just drop in
Member Project Briefs
-Project briefs are opportunities for ROAR members to contribute to collaborative creative projects
-Each brief outlines a theme, goal, or creative challenge designed to inspire new work and skill-building
What’s Involved?
-Responding to a creative brief within a set time frame (typically a few weeks)
-Developing and producing work based on the brief—this might be visual, written, performative, or interdisciplinary depending on the project
-The chance to exhibit or showcase your work as part of a ROAR event, publication, or public outcome
We expect commitment to the project timeline and brief and a willingness to share your work-in-progress and final outcome
