Get Seen & Shared: How to Tag ROAR on Social Media

We love seeing what you’re up to - and we want to share it far and wide!

Every week, we try to feature members’ work, events, and creative updates across ROAR’s social media platforms. But sometimes we spot your amazing posts too late or not at all - simply because we weren’t tagged properly or invited to collaborate.

So, here’s a quick guide on how to make sure your work gets the attention it deserves.

Why Tagging Matters

When you tag ROAR in your posts or invite us to collaborate:

  • Your work reaches a wider audience. We’ll reshare it to our followers, giving your art extra visibility.

  • It helps us celebrate you! We want to show off the incredible creativity happening in our community.

  • It keeps our feed alive with member activity. ROAR’s social media is powered by you - your exhibitions, workshops, ideas, and progress.

How To Tag ROAR

It’s simple! Here’s what to do:

On Instagram:

  • Tag us @rotherhamroar in the photo itself (not just the caption) so we can see it in our tagged feed.

  • Mention @rotherhamroar in your caption or story text for extra visibility.

  • If it’s a collaboration or joint event, invite ROAR as a collaborator when you publish your post — that way it appears on both our profiles at once!

On Facebook:

  • Tag ROAR (Rotherham Open Arts Renaissance) in your post or photo.

What to Tag Us In

We’d love to see and share posts about:

  • Your exhibitions, workshops, or creative projects

  • Work made in ROAR spaces (studios, ClaySpace, Skillshares, etc.)

  • Our members achievements or milestones

  • Behind-the-scenes glimpses of your creative process

Top Tips

  • Use clear, bright photos of your work - they really help your post stand out!

  • Add a short caption explaining what you’ve made or which session you made it in.

  • If you’re unsure whether something fits, tag us anyway - we’d rather see too much than miss something brilliant.

Let’s Keep Growing Together

ROAR’s social media thrives on the energy, talent, and diversity of our members. Tagging us properly helps everyone - it celebrates you, strengthens our creative community, and inspires others to get involved.

So next time you post your art, tag @rotherhamroar or invite us to collaborate - and let’s keep showing RAOR creativity to the world!
