Margaret Hall

Margaret Hall Fine Art is a self-taught artist who has been honing her craft of painting and drawing for her entire life. Margaret's work is colourful and thought-provoking, showing her unique view of the contemporary world through semi-abstraction and narrative painting. Her preferred medium is acrylic, and she enjoys capturing the natural beauty of local landscapes, specifically the Dales and the Lake District.

Recently, she has also delved into using gouache paint to depict scenes from Queensland, Australia. Margaret finds joy in creating both story pictures and abstract pieces. She is an active member of various artist groups and has showcased her artwork extensively in West and South Yorkshire, both individually and collaboratively. Additionally, Margaret serves as the chairman of Barnsley and District Art Society.

Margaret currently has four of her paintings in the exhibition "Curiosities" at the BUZZ Gallery, ROAR Artspace. These include a reinterpretation of the Greek mythical creature Medusa as a modern middle aged woman, a T killer cell painting inspired by a microscope photo, and a mixed media drawing of the hawk moth.
