Troll Festival is a collaboration between ROAR, the Thurcroft Creatives and Thurcroft local community. A fun, environmental festival to promote sustainability and the joy of nature through the power of art and creativity.

We are pleased to be launching a callout for 7 artist commissions:

1 x £6,000 Walking Puppet Commission.

We are looking for an artist or group to work with the Thurcroft community in the creation of an extraordinary walking puppet, plus entourage.

The puppet will be constructed in the run up to the festival at the Troll Museum, Thurcroft with help from young people and their families.

6 x £3,000 commissions + £750 materials.

We are looking for artists and creatives who will work with our family audiences in different ways:
• Run workshops to create designs, content, decoration, performances, costumes and artworks in the lead up to the festival.
• Creating installations for the day that people can experience.
• Developing creative workshop experiences that people can participate in, at the festival.
or a mixture of all three.

The chosen projects will be exhibited, performed and shared at the Troll Festival on the 25th June, 2022 and in the run up to the festival at the Troll Museum, Thurcroft.
