I have always been fascinated by contrasts and anomalies and my artistic endeavours attempt to explore such anomalies, be it in music or the visual arts. Grooveware is the creative moniker under which I am currently working, producing both 2D and 3D artwork as well as music in a variety of genres. My visual artwork is often based upon the themes of legends, myths and ancient folk-lore; re-imagining them for a modern environment. Most recently, I have been printmaking, though my latest commission involved the production of large, free-standing wooden sculptural panels sited in the chapel at Wentworth Woodhouse. Other 3D work has included work in both wood and cardboard as well as a series of models created using recycled drinks cans.
I work from a studio based at the ‘Rotherham Open Arts Renaissance’ space in Rotherham town centre.
