As we look back on the past year, we can't help but smile at the incredible journey we've had in our pop-up gallery space at Rotherham Market. It's been a year filled with art, creativity, and the support of our fantastic community. We're excited to share our story, the impact we've made, and our plans for the future.
A Year of Artistic Excellence
In just 12 months, our pop-up gallery has hosted a staggering 22 exhibitions, each more inspiring than the last. We've had the privilege of showcasing the work of 83 incredibly talented artists, all hailing from our vibrant local community and beyond. Their creativity has breathed new life into the market, transforming it into a hub of artistic expression.
Connecting with the Community
One of the most rewarding aspects of our pop-up gallery has been the opportunity to engage with our community. Every week, a remarkable 5,432 people strolled past our space at Rotherham Market. Many couldn't resist the allure of the art and stepped inside to explore the exhibitions.
We've had the pleasure of seeing families, students, art enthusiasts, and curious passersby engaging with the diverse art on display. We’ve had exciting conversations and shared moments within our gallery space have warmed our hearts and strengthened our commitment to fostering the arts in Rotherham.
Looking to the Future
As our pop-up gallery space at Rotherham Market comes to a close, we're eagerly anticipating our next artistic adventure. We're on the lookout for a new pop-up gallery space in the town center that will continue to serve as a platform for local artists and a source of inspiration for our community.
We're excited to build on the success of the past year, working hand in hand with our ROAR Members and supporters to create an even more vibrant and diverse arts scene in Rotherham. The next chapter promises to be filled with fresh exhibitions, innovative projects, and exciting opportunities for our community to engage with the arts.
